Aberrant Dynamics
Ascension Island becomes a speculative climate rehearsal site, leveraging its history of human experimentation. Space debris is guided into controlled re-entry, increasing solar exposure while seed-embedded geotextiles raise ground temperatures. As heat intensifies, land imprinting methods, inspired by existing fauna, activate across the island to generate microclimates, habitat structures, and reef-forming substrates. The work tests how vegetation and species might respond within a provoked future ecology under extreme planetary conditions.
